You’ve downloaded the BeMoved moving app, you’ve created your profile. Exciting! What’s your next move?

BeMoved makes moving home simple, but there are a few things you can do to maximise your app experience – and make your move the best it can be.

Here are five ways to make the most out of BeMoved.

Make it your own

In the app, you’ll get a moving plan tailored to your needs, for free. The moving plan has categories and subcategories for each part of your move. We’ve thought of all things moving home, from organising removalists and cleaners to connecting utilities, and even the little things like changing your address. The plan allows you to see it at a glance, or in detail.

So delete that spreadsheet, close all those tabs, and bin your messy notepad. Everything you need is in this little app.

Tick those boxes

There’s nothing better than that sweet satisfaction of crossing something off a list. BeMoved makes it that much more rewarding with a to-do list for your moving plan. You can see, prioritise and complete tasks as you go. And you can even mark them as ‘in-progress’ for that awkward in-between stage. Once the job’s done, mark it as ‘complete’ and you get a little pat on the back from us.

Need to go back to a task? No problem! Simply reopen it and change its status.

A task to remember

When you’re moving home, there are so many things happening you’re bound to forget something (you’re only human, after all). Not any more! You can set reminders in the app and get notifications on a specific day and time. That way you can relax knowing that future you will never miss a task. And that they’ll thank past you for reminding them.

Get connected early

Make sure the lights (and gas, and internet) are on when everyone’s home. Connect your utilities before you even move in so everything’s up and running for your first night in your new place. Pop your new address into the app to see some of our trusted providers near you. Because there’s nothing worse than a child afraid of the dark, a dead battery and a cold shower.

A little help from our friends

Connecting utilities isn’t the only service we link to. We’re friends with the neighbours, so we can put you in touch with local service providers that we know and trust, including removalists, packers, truck and van hire, cleaners, storage, and more. From there, you can request quotes and book jobs. Too easy.
